I have no idea why the flames have photographed so badly, it's very weird.

Out of all the colors of the spectrum, Red is the hardest color for digital camera sensors (and film too) to capture.

Well I did not know that!

Thanks for the info! :D

I haven't had all that much time to work on this chap, not as much as I'd like anyway, so there are still places on it that need tidying up. But he ain't looking too bad. Not amazing, but okay!

I am still not sure about the flame on the chest, but I can't fix the flame. I am not bashing finecast, but in this case the helm is really badly moulded. I have three options, get another helm (no time for that), or pick a plastic one. Or just live with it.

I will just live with it!

Thanks very much chaps!

I didn't get to finish him today so it will likely be Sunday now before I do! Looking forward to getting him done so I can focus on my Thousand Sons a little more! :D

Last WIP pic before I do his base.

Not that happy with it, I think the model is too busy, just like the original Vulkan He'stan. I don't have a huge amount of time to do more on him, but I may return to his spear and left shoulder pad. The scales on it are pretty bad.

Yeah, I guess it's just subjective. I dont mind a bit of bling but I just think I have over done it a bit! :D

Ah well.

Here is the final pics. I will have to revisit him later down the line as I have not highlighted the silver areas well/at all in some places.

Guest Triszin

awesome work.

TZEN, out of curiousity, I have found it that I need to start painting the models in parts, as you do. I'd be curious to see you painting setup/how you paint/build the model. Tools/vices and such
