Crimson Knights DiY project!

So i just got the Fall of Cadia book, and upon reading it, and reading about St. Celestine and having a look at the relics, an old idea i had came back to my mind.

The Crimson Knights Chapter.

Using BT CT ofc, and no filthy witches.

I took this idea from Fire Angels, and BT that have a close relationship with the ecclesiary , but i never got around on making fluff for them.

My main inspiration for the Chapter is this guy:

Nuno Alvares Pereira

And the chapter colors and symbol his coat of arms:

I want the chapter to be a Crusading one (obviously), but with a homeworld, and specialized in void combat (due to this guy: Duarte_Pacheco_Pereira ) and drop pods, and also, failed neophytes are drafted into a fighting militia that they use in campaigns.

Using the Castellans formation this is easily done!

Now my only difficulty is the lore and for that i ask for your opinion.

I reckon a younger chapter would have an easier time following the Imperial Creed, but what excuse can be made for no Librarians?

And how can codex deviancy be explained?

I rather avoid the Liber, and ask like minded frater opinions, instead of being swamped with it's just Templars with a different colour scheme comments.

Maybe the Black Templars provided training cadre for the Crimson Knights when the latter Chapter was founded, and the Black Templar instructors convinced their students to obey the Edict of Nikaea (one possible explanation for why the Black Templars have no Librarians, according to the 6th and 7th Edition 'Codex: Space Marines')? Maybe the Crimson Knights fell under the influence of a Puritanical Inquisitor? Maybe they fought a Librarian-turned-witch (from a renegade Chapter, or maybe a traitor from the Crimson Knights themselves) and found the experience so traumatic, they decided "Better to be safe than sorry," and either disbanded their Librarius (they lost all their Librarians in the battle), or canceled plans to recruit psykers (if this is shortly after the Chapter was founded, and they've yet to have any Librarians)?
