I'm one of you now.

I will actually have an allied detachment. I really like the scheme and rules for Sisters.

In honesty, it wouldn't take much to get me to start an army. I just have a bit of a backlog to get through (Custodes, Assault Marines, Ad Mech, Stormsword)

Also, the Castellan detachment is very interesting to me. I wouldn't mind a few squads here and there alongside my Ultras :-)

Between Celestine and Canoness Veridyan, I guess I have the makings of a Sisters army.

Celestine is tiny, she's so small but the model is absolutely incredible, and the rules - Wow.

She's going to be in a lot of armies. The Emperor is generous with his miracles it seems :-D

Yeah, she's so damn small. But well, she's human. I am used to work on Stormcasts, which are basically twice her size :D

But yeah, I am feeling tempted as well. I tried Sisters multiple times in the past, going as far beating Flyrants and Tau, but it never stuck, because they weren't fun to play.

Now that we have Celestine and plastic conversion possibilities with Sisters of Silence, I am considering it anew.

Huh. I've always thought they were fun, but I do lose a lot XD. That seems to fit the fluff at least.

Funnily enough, Sisters have my best win rate by far, but that may be because I never played them as extensively as other armies. I am sure it would normalize over times. The reason I found them boring, however, is becaus I dislike Mech MSU. I tend to like armies with one central unit and other supporting it. Not quite Death Star, as I tend to not overcommit, but it has similarities. And most of all, I prefer defensive capabilities and staying power over raw output.

When you are stuck playing Exorcists, Rhino/Immo BSS, Repressor Dominions and Seraphim with Celestine (the old one), it certainly does not excite me as much, which is a shame because the style is gorgeous.

Ah, I know what you mean. As a Blood Angels player, I did enjoy running 10 Sanguinary Guard with a (Snaguninary) Priest and Dante, or 7 assault termis in a LRC with Corbulo. I suppose I got over that though with Sisters. The aesthetic of the army is enough.

Sisters really don't have any single unit that can just erase stuff by itself. 20 battle Sisters with a couple priests can be survivable, but they are cumbersome to use and attract pie plates. I actually don't do MSU BSSs. Dominions, sure, but I like 9 Sisters in a rhino with a priest. And I always run my 10 Seraphim. They don't usually do much, but I run them anyway :P

To me, the greatest appeal was always the 'faith' part and the strongly religious feel without spilling over into the purely theocratic. They are not just fighting forces, but they also build hospitals and actually try to help people. They are regular humans that push themselves to heights beyond even a Marine through pure faith. I suppose that is also why I like the Argent Shroud the best, on top of their fluff.

That's what attracted me to sisters as well.  I really liked that they were just regular humans, I also really liked the religious imagery.  Something about tanks with church organs mounted on the back firing missiles just screams "this is 40k" to me.

It won't beat Damnation Crusade as 'most 40k thing ever', but it is close ;)

Thanks guys, much appreciated. I'm currently working on her bodyguards. I was hoping to have them done already but I've had quite a busy week.

Celestine and the two Gemini twins are incredibly fragile models, literally feel like they'll snap in your hand.

I wad thinking of running them in a list during my next game, but I'm now waiting on some thick foam trays for me to use for transportation. You really have to be incredibly careful!

Is it possible the leave out the scrollworks without leaving obvious attachment spots visible on the rest of the model? My problem with the Celestine especially is that she'll gobble up a LOT of space from a foam tray with her scrollwork assembly.

Celestine's not too bad - there's a groove at the bottom of her cloak where the scrolls slot in, but that should be fairly easily covered up with some Purity Seals or something.  The Geminae have the scroll molded as part of the leg assembly though.  You'd have to very carefully file it back and probably repair any damage with some greenstuff.
