I'm debating painting the geminae with purple/green dyed hair. Is that sacrilege? Was considering using my Escher hangers as frateris militia/early recruits

My Geminae will have black hair, but instead of a white part one will have blue, the other purple (as a nod to a couple of friends of mine happy.png ), so I can't see why not smile.png

I know this is a bit off topic but apparently Sisters were originally scheduled to be released in 2018 but have been moved forward to this year due to the interest shown by the community.

That's news to me.

AFAIK the release has not been changed since the project was given a "firm" date.  Considering that it was given the deadline (and dubious honor) of being the final codex before 8th edition that would make it before 2018.

I don't expect plastic Sisters OR a 'dex anytime soon. :P of course I could be wrong, but I see no reason to get my hopes up. If it happens, great. If not, is anyone really going to be suprised? It would be business as usual, and I'm ok with that.

A rumour quite a few months ago said 8th edition box set would be plastic sisters vs (I forget) - ridiculed at the time but I think it might be right, which would mean a release this summer and a codex a month or two later.

Edit - it was November and a new rumour poster called indefragable who claims that he was speaking to a store manager friend who describes sprues of plastic battle sisters vs an unknown enemy - from my rumour reading I think it's hrud.

Red_Shift I also remember hearing the same rumor. It would be very cool if it comes to pass. It had me thinking the box set might be Sisters vs. Dark Eldar, but maybe it will be Sisters vs. Comorragh. If so that would be awesome.

Ishagu, as a new Sisters player this is a good example of the kind of positive outlook a Sister's player has to have lol msn-wink.gif

A little late, but the rumor I heard was that all the massive racing to pick up Celestine, her geminae, and the new canoness has caused GW to START working on plastic sisters. But because of that they wouldn't be released for about a year. I felt it was a more likely scenario than them holding back finished models until 8th ed. At least this one made sense that the popularity caused them to work on something.

And with the red vestments on the twins, they look just a bit like the Order of Our Martyred Lady Sisters they supposedly are. Looks good!

I mean, it sounds like it could be true, but so do most rumors . . .

Sure would be nice if it were true though!

They look great Ishagu!

Thank you. I'm actually starting work on some Sisters of Silence next.

I know it's not the same thing, but it gives me a chance to add some more girls to my armies whilst we wait for the future plastic SoB release :-)

Mutant scum!

Eh, who am I kidding I love pariahs, and top knots. But I'm waiting for the 30K release before I seriously consider buying some, that way they don't step on the toes of my Sisters. And so I'm not allying with blighted mutants.

Oh oh! Sisters of Silence are a VERY welcome part of my sisters. But I will warn you not to try and run both Greyfax AND the SoS. It works well against infiltrators, but you won't get any use out of your psycher phase. However those girls in a formation with 10 of them (Still relatively dirt cheap for what they offer) is a blessing of the allfather against enemy psychic powers.

The formation denies 1 warp charge for every girl after the first in the null maiden formation. 10 girls, 9 denied warp charges.

For each unit after the first, not each model. So 3 squads remove 2 warp charges.

I would say each model. Unit is used for squad or single model all over the place. And it doesn't say "squad".

I might be wrong, not sure. Maybe they should stick to less vague and interchangeable terms that they use for everything.

It's the unit, I've just had a look at the rules. So 3 units would remove two dice from the pool.

The Sisters of Silence are still incredibly point efficient. I can't get over a squad of 5 Sisters armed with Str4 ap2 swords that strike at Initiative 5 are only 75 points. They are comparable to Incubi for example, who have a similar statline but cost significantly more.
