Noted.  Apologies.  One of the audio books that saw my through the painting so far was called the grey wolf - guess the content still bouncing around in the memory. 

No worries. It happens. You're a champ for editting it out, and have embodied the Legio Astartes quote "I recognize my failure and will be sure to correct it. :tu:

OK, I managed to update! Yay! :tu:

Anyways, the amount of high quality work is through the roof - congratulations everyone!

Interestingly the Traitors have almost catch up with the Loyalists despite their smaller numbers... Well played!

Thoughts? These are my first painted terminators other than a blood angel terminator chaplain as a child. Im quite pleased, other than the usual "Post image, look at image, notice little details, cry" cycle.

 

I might pledge my Legion Apothecary unit this coming week IF I can find some slots in my rota for more hobby!

Back with another weekly update...

 

The Veteran Marksmen are officially complete. I had been toying with the idea of switching the Heavy Bolters with the Soulreaper Cannons, but decided there was no time to do that, as I'd most likely have to do a lot of repair to not only the model, but also extra painting where the weapon is now covering the chest. I have them mounted to two Marines for the second Marksmen squad, however. Maybe if they drop in price on eBay I'll get two more. I've added decals to their right pauldron, nothing crazy just some ritualistic symbols. I'm also including pics of the Delegatus and Tartaros Terminators, which I've started and will hopefully be finished by next Sunday, thus finishing my second vow and will most likely mean the end of my participation in this year's Loyalty and Treachery event. Enjoy!

So quick question about my titles, I see I have the Magos, Chaplain, and Centurion Badges, but since I have 15HP and a Knight included, wouldn't that also give me the Seneschal and Forge Lord titles as well? I dislike being picky lol, but the powers that be call my name...

Ashen Circle

Serving alongside the Destroyers of the Word Bearers Legion, the Ashen Circle was a unique formation created for a unique purpose; the destruction of culture; learning and faith. These Space Marines were member's of the Legion's original Iconoclast faction, charged beyond the battlefield with hunting down works of false doctrine and those who purveyed it, consigning both to destruction and eradicating flame.

On the battlefield, their task was deemed no less important by their Legion; seeking out those things which gave the foe the heart and courage to fight: charismatic leaders, priests, battle flags and champions. These they singled out, dragged down with the hook-blades of their axe-rakes and destroyed with brutal fervour, often making plunging attacks far in advance of their own lines in order to do so, with no thought as to their own survival.
On world after world the Ashen Circle tore down libraries and churches, parliaments and sepulchres, first so that the Imperial Truth might be set up in their place, but later so that far darker creeds could take root and fester.

Screw it... this may be overzealous and could potentially cause me to fail the whole thing, but in true Word Bearers fashion... I'm going for it.

 

For my third vow, I'm pledging a squad of 10 Word Bearers Seekers. Pic attached... I have 12 days, so I better get moving.

Brother Pheidas, those are seriously the most badass White Scars miniatures I have ever seen. Wow! I'm not kidding: the White Scars don't normally do anything for me, for some reason - but you just really struck a chord in me - I look upon the above miniatures and I hear the siren call of the open steppe yes.gif
