Finished up the first Deredeo after work, so that's 1 pledged unit complete @ Captain Semper.

 

I've made a start on the second but it's not particularly exciting at the moment since it's just base metal.

The missile launcher is unattached, so can pivot as needed or simply be removable. It's a day off tomorrow so I'll be aiming to finish up the next one then, or at least get pretty close.

How do I join in , do I just pledge to do an amount then see if I can beat it?

if that is the case I was looking atsorting out my Vilka Fenrika 30 K army now I have a Battleof Prospero box

1 Russ

2 Build 3 x 10 man tactical ( Grey Hunter ) units

3 Build a 5 man Termi Wolf guard Squad

4 Build 2 Scaran MBT's ( hate Forge World )

my stretch goals

5 try and build a 10 Man destroyer unit from my bits box ( left hand bolt pistols are a furious.gif to find )

6 try and build a 10 man tactical support squad ( not sue if I go with flamers or rotor cannons

7 try and build 2 Contrmptor Dreadnaughts

Firstly I have to say how glad I am to see so many new faces - and new to the B&C too! Welcome to the site and the event and good luck to you all! 

 

Now the Loyalists are outnumbering the Traitors at an alarming rate... Will the Horus crowd make a comeback? The moral high ground is at stake! 

 

@ Finnish Hammer: A Porphyrion Knight? WOW!!! Good luck with that one FH! And yes the Atrapos is fine...

 

@ lokkorex: I see the Old Guard closing ranks again! Welcome aboard lokkorex - impressive pledge there. Just let me know if you pledge for the Emperor or for Horus... I think it's the former but better make sure.

 

@ Deamon Wolf: That's exactly how you join! You need to pledge at least three legal HH units and then try to complete them until the end of the event... I have recorded only the first four units - not the stretch goals. Let me know if you want me to put you down for the lot. I also assume you pledged for the Emperor - not Horus. Let me know if that is not the case.

Thanks to having today off, I also did indeed manage to finish up the second Deredeo today. Full steam ahead!

Not sure if I'll work on the Sicaran next or a Rhino. I may save the biggest tank till last to maximise the time I have for it. I'm not overly sure how a wash will do on the large flat surfaces. I'll probably have to make sure it doesn't pool and so on.

Gloss varnish all over the tank before the wash!

Spent a good chunk of my evening working on the first Rhino and as it turns out, finished it.

The grey sponging barely showed up in the above pic, so I had to result to phone flash on it's own to pick it up, which makes it appear even starker. Not the best, but at least you can see it's there.

That leaves me the second Rhino, Sicaran and Perturabo to go. My next day off is Monday so I'll do what I can over the next bunch of evenings.

It's also good to see progress from everyone! @ Captain Semper, with 3 units finished would this mean Centurion status, and Chaos in the lead?

Awesome stuff on here so far. Ordered a second hand contemptor on ebay, I would like to add him to my oath for the IX Legion and the Emperor. His arms are on order from FW, but I wanted to put in some work tonight, so I thought I ought to put in my before picture.

As you can see, he turned up half painted, but will be redone as he is entirely the wrong red. Probably. I have no idea what the actual shades are. Also I plan to fill in the battle damage and possibly alter some of the sarcophagus decoration.
