Happy to say that I have successfully finished the veteran tactical squad from my pledge. Here are a few pictures:

I seem to have managed to crop one of the tactical marines out of the first picture. Thankfully I took the second one so you lot can verify that I had indeed painted that one as well msn-wink.gif

EDIT: By the way, go ahead and ask if you wish different pictures or close-ups of some of these guys. Do be warned though, I am an army painter, so the quality might not stand up in extreme close-ups.

Only WIP so far, been busier than expected. Still, basecoat down, now on to the whole freaking pot of nuln oil that I'll need to get this LR down to the right shade :)

In light of the last two posts, I'm a little embarrassed to post this pittance, but what can be expected from mere militia when compared to the Angels of Painting Death. One more down (and one arm short of another).

In light of the last two posts, I'm a little embarrassed to post this pittance, but what can be expected from mere militia when compared to the Angels of Painting Death. One more down (and one arm short of another).

There is no such thing as a pittance  in the loyalty and treachery ( i think thats why I love this event so much)  , i think homeboy looks great , and I am looking to see some more of yer stuff.  Keep up the grind !

OK then,

 

With the excitement of Inferno and the Heresy Weekender, I've decided this now the time to get on the Thousand Sons band wagon. I've been dabbling and pondering these guys for a while, but never really got into it, wash't overly happy with the red on my MK3 tester.

 

I've decided procrastination is over, and I shall smash out a small force of

 

10 x Tactical Marines

10 x Tactical Marines

5 x Tartaros Terminators

 

As the Traitor side is under represented, I guess these guys have just been declared Heretics......

 

I hope also to get around to doing a Xiphon as per the new artwork and some veterans out of the Rubric kit.

I did a MK3 as shown below, but I found it ended up a little too orangey for my tastes. I also did a few others, but went too light with my gold base coats and again wasn't happy, Probably why things stalled

So he's been dipped in a green bath now... sad times

 

I've got this almost finished Scarab Occult test done, the red worked out more to my liking here. I haven't finished the gold and detailing yet, so it's a good excuse to! If I can't count this dude as my 5 i'll just have to either make a 6th or do a Terminator Consul of sorts to make the numbers up!!

OK Deamon Wolf, good to see you uploaded the pics ti photobucket and we can now see them.

What you can do is copy the image address from photobucket and then come here and click on the "image" tool in the toolbar just above the editor bit of your post (it's the blue-greenish rectangle). Then you can paste the image address in the field provided and there you have it!

However, I'm a bit confused... I can't seem to find Russ' pic and as far as I recall you had only pledged a single Termie squad. Also I can only find just one Tac squad (the one above) and no Destroyers... I have updated the first page according to your declaration but if you can point me to the pics that'll be great (Russ especially! :D

Just a quick progress shot. Both Tactical Squads are currently up to this point and the Terminators are near enough, but unfortunately there isn't a whole lot more I can do at this point until I get a few more paints and my Sector Imperialis bases in. Pretty happy with how things are coming along.

Ok, Cryptix - these are fine, but the minimum requirement is at least three units to be eligible for any title (unless it's a Titan involved in which case one will suffice). Feel free to add any unit of your liking to you initial vow and let me know so I can update accordingly. ;)

Weekly update time!

 

The Vindicator is complete sans transfers, which I'll probably do post-event. I've started focusing on the Breacher Squad and they only need a very thin third layer before they get their Carrosburg coat. I also need opinions on the Leviathan and his spikes. I'm afraid they're too big on the leg and perhaps to organic on his hull. Too much?

You can paint what you want - even Loyalists while you pledge for Horus! There is no conflict.

 

So go ahead and paint them - you don't need to change sides because of that... ;)

Puts me up to 18 hull points! I'm guessing I wasn't given the Forgelord title as 6 HPs were dreadnoughts? At any rate this makes at least 12 that are definitely tanks, so maybe that qualifies then.

 

@ Captain Semper I'll also pledge 1 Iron Circle Domitar to keep up the momentum. Pic to come once it's primed and ready.

With all the gorgeous work here on the thread, I've been feeling increasingly guilty for not getting my arse in gear, but now I've finally made some serious progress on my first model for this event, a World Eaters Contemptor:
