As for a name, your colors reminded me of a ghost in the 5th Edition 'Dungeons & Dragons: Monster Manual', so how about a reference to the supernatural- Spirits of Vengeance? Ghosts of Isstvan? Blood Revenants (if the name isn't already in use)? Star Haunters?

I was thinking of having the geneseed thing being a rumor msn-wink.gif . And the chapter being quite secretive.

I'm stumped for the name I do like the Haunters part though ...

"Guardians of the Blood Chalice", to emphasize the Marines' role as defenders of the Emperor's realm? "Curse of the Blood Chalice", with the Marines referring to themselves as "Spirits of the Curse" or "Curse Spirits", if you want to emphasize a supernatural theme?

By the way, does the "Chalice" refer to an actual cup, kept as a Chapter relic? A Space Hulk the Marines purged early in their career? A vessel for the soul, in the Chapter's mythology- maybe a phylactery (see articles on liches)? Something else?

As for shotguns, I wonder if it's practical for Marines to mount them on their boltguns, forming a combi-weapon whose secondary component may be used repeatedly in battle? M2 and M3 "marines" used such weapons- see the Masterkey and the M26 accessories.

I don't mind the curse part but that might reference the nightlords too much what with their primarch being calling Konrad Curze

Yes, the grails that the sanguinary priests use.

That doesn't sound bad, I don't know how I'd go about converting that though

How about Sanguine Demitasse for the name? A demitasse is a type of cup/mug that can be very ornate or dull depending on the occasion.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demitasse according to wiki it's used for coffee, I love my coffee but not that much lol

I found some shotguns at Kromlech. If nothing else, they should provide inspiration for how to create your own shotgun accessories. (You can probably leave off the trigger. I can imagine Space Marine boltgun triggers having alternate settings, i.e., the same trigger can be used to fire different weapons, though not at once- it's in the rules for combi-weapons, after all. Stacked pieces of plasticard will probably do for the shotgun's detachable magazine. You can cut a bolt handle for the shotgun, like on the M26- I doubt the pump action will fit- or claim the weapon is semiautomatic. Just don't forget to make an ejection port for the shotgun shells- either by carving it into the boltgun, or into the plasticard sheath you're using to bulk up the boltgun-shotgun combination weapon.)
