Homebrew Chapter for Kill Team

So I bought the Kill Team box mostly for the rules and got a squad of tactical marines in the deal. I already have a Blood Angels army and I don't need anymore Tacs in that army.

So I have decided to do a DIY chapter for this Kill Team squad.

I just have to decide WHAT chapter I want to use!

The Knights of Walpurgis

-21st Founding

-Erudite and educated but savage and brutal in battle

-Their homeworld of Walpurgis is believed to still exist but records of its location have led to a dead world without any structures or population

Chapter T85

Chapter that survived a daemonic incursion during the earliest days of their founding, with great disruption. As a result they chose to abandon (and destroy) their initial homeworld, interrupting their founding process and preventing them from acquiring a chapter name among other oddities. T85 being a designation by the Adeptus Mechanicus that the chapter was to be the 85th Chapter assigned to Segmentum Tempestus

-Imperial Fists gene-seed

-Crusading Codex Chapter, uses Emperor’s Champion without being X-Templars

-Venerate the Emperor through battle, preferring close range shooting and drop pod assaults

-Dakka Marines

SILVER SPECTRES

-White Scars successors

-Fleet based chapter in keeping with their forebears nomadic ancestry

-Hit and Run, swarming attacks, flank assaults

White Scars Bike units (including HQs on bikes, obviously) all get Skilled Rider and +1 Strength to HoW attacks. All units also get Hit and Run, and can re-roll their run distance as long as they are only composed of White Scars models.

-Wear their opponents down with lightning-fast close-quarter ambushes. Their doctrine emphasizes getting a good hit in then hightailing it

INTERCEPTORS

-Ultramarines successor

-Sentinel Founding (23rd Founding, M36)

-Segmentum Tempestus, currently moving to support the retaking of the Orpheus Sector after the Battle of Amarah

-Use the adaptability of the Codex for success

-Rapid response to new and emerging threats, rarely deployed in strength

-Specialize in Alpha Strike and Kill Team missions

I'm sure that with some input I can pick from one of these and get to writing (and modeling and painting!)

Just checking, were you thinking of using the Mantis Warriors Chapter Tactic for this homebrew?  Because that'd be really cool and fitting.  Their bonus to seizing the initiative reflects them being eurdite and educated, but their Hammer of Wrath and Furious Charge reflects their brutality in battle, like what you suggested.

The Mantis Warriors Chapter Tactic is really good for Kill Team.  Not sure if you've played Kill Team before, like with the previous rulesets, but basically there's a lot more footslogging through terrain, therefore relevant.

I have played a bit of Kill Team - tactical marines, scouts and Death Company footslogging bolter squad.

I had definitely considered the Mantis Warriors as a chapter tactic, or doing some homebrew rules because I play a pretty relaxed circuit. A mix of the old third edition rules and FW Blackshield rules.
