foamy248
Just what the title says. Assuming that my army is over 2,000pts, can I have two detachments (a AoD detachment, and an allied detachment, each with a Right of War)? To do so, I assume that each detachment would have to have a Master of the Legion? Thanks Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/330237-can-allied-detachments-take-rows/ Share on other sites
Slips
Yes only if: Is at least 1000 points and lead by a Master of the Legion that doesn't require it to always be Warlord (this means Delegatus are ineligible). Isn't Primary Detachment Exclusive like some/all of the Legion Specific RoWs. Niightcloak
also don't forget that you cannot ally with yourself (same legion) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/330237-can-allied-detachments-take-rows/#findComment-4633703 Share on other sites
K3nn3rs
Was just wondering the same thing - great news! I assume that taking an allied detachment with a RoW, effects the number of troops you need to take? I.e. Just 1 x unit of vets OR termies to unlock PotL? Baluc
An allied detachment doesn't need to be 1000 points to take a RoW. The total force just needs to be 2000 pts. As per the Master of the Legion rule in the newest redbook. K3nn3rs
But can you take PotL as the allied detachment? i.e. Have a cults & militia army (primary detachment) manning a load of fortifications and take a PotL IF allied detachment (so that you can deep strike/ pod in and save the day!) Yeah nothing wrong with that. Off the top of my head only the Book 6 legion specific RoW are Primary Detachment only.
