Retributis
Hey fellow heresy dudes, I'm not sure if this is the right section to post this but thought I might get more answers about Heresy stuff than in the standard modelling area (Mods, please move if I'm wrong!) I've bought a selection of Alpha Legion and Imperial Fist goodies from Forgeworld, including 2 lots of the Phalanx Warden upgrade kits. I was hoping to use these with a squad of Mark 3 from the Burning of Prospero box instead of spending lots of money on the despoilers, as I wanted to make the squads up predominantly with bolters. However I'm struggling to model the bolters using the normal bolter arms as the shields and bolters get in each others way, and so far the two I have made are reduced to braced poses with bolters down. Have any folks done some Phalanx Wardens with bolters and if so, tell me your secrets! :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/330489-modelling-phalanx-wardens-with-bolters/ Share on other sites
IronDrake28
You could try cutting the shoulder of the bolter arms to get a different angle, and using some green stuff to fill up any empty space under the pad when you glue it on. This comes from personal experience so other people may have better/more efficient ideas. :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/330489-modelling-phalanx-wardens-with-bolters/#findComment-4640210 Share on other sites
Wolf Lord Loki
I have heard that they are a tricky model to assemble from my regular opponent who bought the whole model from forgeworld. Just take your time and be prepared to adjust the shoulder join Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/330489-modelling-phalanx-wardens-with-bolters/#findComment-4640321 Share on other sites
