CaptainStabby
Anyone else have this problem with the black books, or even the red ones? I just got Book 6 like 2 weeks ago and the glue holding the pages together is already coming apart simply from reading it and having it set on my desk. Not super keen on $100 books that fall apart while reading. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/330547-black-books-coming-apart/ Share on other sites
Corswain
I have had some problems wih book 2 due to excessive handling but I must have bought that a few years ago now. Nothing I wouldn't reasonably expect. If yours is only a few weeks old, I would email FW. With pictures if possible. Dagoth Ur
This doesn't sound normal. I have bought every book at release and my Book 1 is still holding up perfectly even after heavy handling. Call FW and I am sure they'll do something about it. Supe robot gangster #1
Only problem I've had with any of my black books (I have them all, from roughly when they were all released) is the picture on book one falling off! (Though that's because I lived at home as a young'un when I got it and when I was at school mum put it next to a window in the sun...) SockMonkey
GW has a history of dodgy bindings. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/330547-black-books-coming-apart/#findComment-4641723 Share on other sites
IronDrake28
GW has a history of dodgy bindings. Never in my experience, and I have dozens of their books! Gorgoff
Me neither. I still read the Ork codex from 2. edition from time to time. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/330547-black-books-coming-apart/#findComment-4641940 Share on other sites
Supe robot gangster #1
There was a time period where GW (read main GW) did a lot of dodgey bindings, including WD and fantasy army books, but as I said before I've never had a problem with any of my forgeworld books, and I have quite a few! You may have just gotten real unlucky and got the worlds only dodgey copy! RandomMarine
Sounds like the binding glue has gone completely dry / brittle. Only had it on paperback never on hardback. Take photos and ask fw for a replacement Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/330547-black-books-coming-apart/#findComment-4642002 Share on other sites
M@verik115
It was a known issue with some of the last few batches of codexes and forgeworld books printed in China last year. Since then they fixed it, but you clearly got one of the said batch.
