Inspired as I was by Praetorian of Dorn I decided to bite the bullet and go for some 30k awesomesauce by combining my two favourite Legions into one Great Crusade Force. The force currently stands at: Imperial Fists Alexis Pollux Praetor with relic blade (axe) 10 Phalanx Warders (7 with bolters, 2 with axes and "sergeant") 10 veteran tactical marines 5 Cataphractii Terminators One Contemptor Land Raider (also used for 40k) 10 tactical marines Alpha Legion Armillus Dynat 5 Tartaros Terminators 5 Headhunters One Contemptor I'm very much a "Rule of cool" collector rather than a straight out WAAC power gamer so I like to make my armies fluffy first and then playable second :P So far I've only built and painted the tartaros (pictures to follow) but at the moment I wanted to share my "conversion" of Alexis Pollux - I've always taken issue with his basic pose and wanted to do something different. Rather than staring up in amazement at whatever tall thing he's posed to look at (seriously, why does he lean so much and where is his eyeline going?) I wanted to show him at the forefront of an implacable advance at the head of my Phalanx Warders. Let me know what you folks think? and I'll have more to share soon!
