Ovidius Incertus
Anyone know what scheme FW uses for the red seen on their various Custodes vehicles? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/330672-forgeworld-custodes-red-recipe/ Share on other sites
Grotsmasha
At a guess, it will be something like; 1- Mephiston Red 2- Nuln Oil 3- 2nd Nuln Oil on the lower parts 4- Striple Blood Red (or current equivalent) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/330672-forgeworld-custodes-red-recipe/#findComment-4646940 Share on other sites

sockwithaticket
Best bet is to ask FW themselves, they've previously been good at handing out recipes. From what I can tell they've got two variants of the red. One is the very nice deep, matte red which almost definitely involves stippling on most of the promo shots, the other is a glossy, candy red I've seen in many shots from the weekender. In the latter case that's likely a clear red sprayed over either silver or gold. Mango Polo
I asked at the Weekender: Khorne Red > Mephiston Red > Evil Sunz Scarlet, applied by stippling. And the use of a "flesh wash". Ovidius Incertus
I asked at the Weekender: Khorne Red > Mephiston Red > Evil Sunz Scarlet, applied by stippling. And the use of a "flesh wash". Did they specify that Mephiston Red and Evil Sunz were both stippled over the Khorne Red? Flesh wash might be Reikand Flesh Shade.
