Pirate Brushes
Has anyone had any success in converting power armour to have spikes on it instead of bonding studs (similar to some of the CCG artwork and on Justaerin terminators and Reavers)? I'm wanting to convert some Sons of Horus veterans from BAC/BOP plastics and want them to follow a similar aesthetic to the other SOH veteran units but I'm at a loss as to how Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/330723-armour-spikes/ Share on other sites
Kierdale
I use pins on some of my CSM, cut down to whatever length I need using strong wire cutters and put into drilled holes. Watch your fingers ;) I haven't used it yet but somewhere I have a Mk.6 'studded' pad done with spikes where all the studs would be. One example here where I put spikes to cover where a flashy collar had been: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/330723-armour-spikes/#findComment-4648772 Share on other sites
Sandlemad
There's these decent third-party spiked/studded pauldrons by mastercrafted, might be up your alley: https://mastercrafted.co.uk/product-category/infantry-components/shoulder-pads/standard/page/3/ They're fairly similar to the justaerin ones, if a bit more regular in their rows. Some folks on B&C have used them on SW (they mimic Russ's pauldrons in particular) to great effect. Probably trickier for the rest of the armour though.
