Random questions: Blackshields & AL

For Blackshields: Have any of you have success with the Orphans of War WoW? Or just stay with Outlanders/Chymeriae? Wanna know your experiences with the 30k outcasts, so please feel free to share your mileage. Outlanders looks like fun with pseudo destroyer marauders (rad grenades & dual pistols).

Also, have any of you used MSU marauders? Any good combos?

Alpha Legion; Was wondering about making a small list of them, about 2k led by a Delegatus and taking his RoW to bring veterans as troops. Basically deploying a small elite force and then Banestrike ammo appeared. I know it's subpar to give it to a Seeker squad but was wondering that may be worth it on Veterans (marksmen, bolters & 2 HB loadout)?

Banestrike rounds are worthless (in fact negative worth) on a marksmen vet squad. Marksmen gives you AP2 on a to-wound roll of a 6, whereas banestrike is AP3 on a 6 and reduces your range whilst actually costing points.

Banestrike with one of the other vet tactics though? Go for it if you fancy.

So with the update to FAQ and now PE getting a buff Orphans of war is really cool. But loosing moral in combat costing D3 models then getting swept and marauders not having Vexilas kind of makes you want to keep your distance and just capitalize on the benefits of shooting at a unit with PE. Utilizing things like Lascannons, Plasma rifles, Pariah Flamers.

As far as MSU Black shields I mean you can but Unless your playing malestorm missions I don't see why you would need 6 5 man squads in Rhinos when you could just have 3 10 man squads in Dreadclaws for about the same points. Outlanders in ZM MSU could be good though because half of infantry deepstrike if they dont have transports so having 6 units of 5 man marauders and some Terminators could be good, throw a Vox on the Marauders to help deploy the other deepstrikers, arm them with flamers/combi flamers in ZM getting shred could be cool.

Thanks for the input Rob. I was thinking in something like this:

Vigilator - 85

10 Veterans with pariah bolters & 2 pariah flamers - 180

10 Veterans with pariah bolters & 2 pariah flamers - 180

Contemptor-Mortis with dual kheres - 180

Dreadnought Talon with TL autocannon & TL missile launcher - 145

Dreadnought Talon with TL autocannon & TL missile launcher - 145

5 man marauder squad w/multimelta in Rhino w/multimelta & dozer - 200

5 man marauder squad w/multimelta in Rhino w/multimelta & dozer - 200

5 man support squad w/pariah flamers & CCW - 110

5 man support squad w/pariah flamers & CCW - 110

5 man seeker squad (Vigilator here) - 155

Scorpius - 115

Deredo with autocannons - 185

Not exactly MSU but close enough if you ask me. Any good?

Yeah if your playing an objective based game it should work fine. Youll probably have issues against mech as most Astartes do but and I see a lot of your guys are on foot are you planning on using outlanders? If not enemy Indirect Fire support is going to do some damage to your walking guys.

Undecided yet between Outlanders and Orphans (extra points for rad grenades/meltabombs would be awesome xD). The veterans would go outflanking and I hope the rest are fine in cover (and behind the AV 12 wall). Never used minimal squads, so they feel brittle to me. However, the amount of dreads gives me some peace of mind.
