Advice to convert a Landraider to a Corunus counts as

Want to try to convert up some LRs into a Corunus counts as. I like the LR and don't really want to pay for all the Corunus I'd need(aka 2, aka 220 usd) what would you guys advise in this?

Visually the Coronus and the Land Raider are totally different. What do you plan to do?

Also, not only are they totally different, but Land Raiders aren't that cheap either.

 

I almost feel that you'd be better off getting some scale plane / helicopter / car kits and heavily converting them into something more suitable. Also, you might want to see if you can find some old AT-43 Karmans flyers - they are OOP, but have features that should make them quite convertible into what you want with some judicious use of 30k/40k parts. An example here.

 

I don't think you'd be able to use them in a tournament or anything, but seriously doubt anybody will give you a hard time otherwise if you make the effort covert and paint the kit adequately enough to avoid any confusion about what it represents. Making it clear and getting it looking good/fitting are the crucial points here - making a cheap/lazy effort will simply get you unkind comments otherwise.

I was hoping to just make some cool grav land raiders, and use them as Grav Carriers

And a Grav carrier costs twice as much as a LR for me
