Adeptus Custodes conversion question(s)

Been away from 40k a while, but the Custodes stuff is finally giving me an excuse to try 40k again by er... looking at the 30k era :)

Managed to snag a nice pile of 25 unassembled Custodes and been looking at the Inferno list, and I'm wondering how are people converting the Pyrithite and Adrasite spears on their Custodes? Are you just leaving them as-is and playing with them differently, or are you replacing the bolter mounted on the spear with something else?

Will probably have more questions as I go over the sprues and digest, but that is the first one to come to mind.

I have only built two of the 5 I have. And I already decided the first five are just too play around with, so maybe I'll take a whack at it this weekend. Melta version should be easy I think but the lack of images for the disintegration weapons will make that one a challenge

From what we can see the adrathic guns are what the sagittarum have (the non bolt part obviously)

The closest gun that I can think of are anvil industries'

A quick kitbash can give plenty of deathrays

Imo those suit more the less embellished legions such as Ih or IW instead of Custards. I have Ion Rifles on my IH as Volkites waiting to be painted and their look is spot on for them but too basic for Custards. Also I am not sure if the size is correct either as it is slim instead of bulky.

Lance Carbine is a great and I've been using them on my 40k armies as soon as it came out. Just a simple swap and the magnet holes are even pre-drilled.

The quality of Anvil Industries stuff is great if the looks suit you.
