Horus Heresy question about FOC

General Strike

Recommended Posts

I know this is a silly question, but it's coming from my curiousity more than actually wanting to do this. I'm new to HH, and have just joined to make a Talons army. My question is this, is it possible make a battleforged army using a FOC age of darkness army and a 40k Formation to use in 40k? From my very limited understanding, 30k is a very detailed and huge supplement for 40k, so would using a army list from 30k with a 40k formation be a bound or battleforged list? I understand the huge differences between 40k and 30k, and I doubt a 30k list could be worth it in 40k at the low points needed to bring a 40k Formation alongside, but I'm genuinely curious. Also, to be clear I'm asking if this works in 40k, by battleforged and army rules.

30k has no formations. While you can play 30k against 40k, you really shouldn't combine them into the same army. The army list construction is different, and the 40k version of the Talons models are very different from the 30k version.
