Today i finished the frame work. Now i can go ahead with the details like tubes, rivets and instrument panels. After that i have to paint the Obliterator. For most parts i know the colors. But i cn´t decide how to paint the statues. Marble would be an option but it´s a Mehanicum Obliterator. And Mechanicm screams METAALLLL!!!!. What´s your opinion? Metal or Marble?http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x120/DarkBjoern/Knights%20and%20Titans/Plasma%20Obliterator%20WIP%2043_zpsqss1balq.jpg

Definitely Metal.

Depending on how the rest is painted, maybe a weathered bronze, maybe with verdigris, but I think you'll want to go metal.

This is just an amazing project.

Q: What size glass beads did you use on the piping for the reactor?

Cheers,

I was hard working. The Obliterator got all his rivets. I drilled 600! holes and glued the same amount of rivet in them. I started with some instruments and cables for the technic alcoven. And i made some pics in comparision to an original Obliterator.
And finally i finished the connection pipe for the reactor. I found some screws with washer for the GW look. Now i´m happy with it.

Hard working as ever my AoP project goes ahead. What have i done since the last time? I painted 90% of the board itself. I primed the mechanicum ruin. The administratum ruin got the first layer of Mechanicus Standard Grey and a wash with Nuln Oil. And i made the bases for the debris hills for both ruins.
And finally i finished the alcovens of the Obliterator. That´s it for now. I hope you still like it.

That's definitely shaping out to be one of the most impressive Armies on Parade boards I've seen.

And great choice of airbrush :) I've had the same one for a few years. Amazing thing, too bad some seals are starting to wear out now and paint occasionally leaks back towards the trigger.

Yeah should be an easy fix. Just haven't managed to source any parts. No dealer here in Finland anymore and not many online stores sell parts. Just the airbrushes themselves. Found one place selling the correct part but postage was ridiculous so havent bought it yet. Luckily it doesnt affect performance at all, just makes the clean up take longer
