LutherMax
Hello B&C, I may be taking on a project to build and paint a rendition of Inquisitor Consadine as featured in the 3rd Ed Daemonhunters codex. I'm looking for help identifying kits and bits that could be used to re-create Consadine as shown in the image below. I'm thinking the running Custodian Guard legs could work, Grey Knights Daemonhammer, a Sternguard head and possibly Dark Angels Interrogator-Chaplain torso with cloak. Any ideas on the rest? Some kind of multi-layered shoulder pads would be good... http://www.themightybrush.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/Inquisitor-Consadine.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/331684-inquisitor-consadine/ Share on other sites
Aeternus
Looks like an interesting project! I would vouch against using Custodes legs - they're quite large, and on a human (though realistically probably space marine) sized model, they'd imo dwarf the torso and rest of the model. While I can't think of any suitable alternatives immediately, I'll have a look around. For the pads, this is the segmented style I'd suggest. For the arms a good bet would be the MKIV heavy chainsword arms, but those may need reposing/extending to work with everything else. Bar that, Anvil Industries does a few two handed weapons, so some of the arms from this set could be appropriate, possibly with altered lower arm sections to appear more like the photo. If you're not 100% invested in the sternguard head, one I would suggest is the Phalanx Warder bare head. Though it does have hair, it also has a sufficient scar and quite evocative shout. LutherMax
Great stuff – thanks for the info Aeternas! I think the head really has to be bald, so I might look into alternatives – although perhaps the hair could be sanded off that one. Those Puppets War pads and the Anvil arms are spot on! Elzender
Actually, anvil may have some layered pads, you might want to give it a look Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/331684-inquisitor-consadine/#findComment-4676614 Share on other sites
Bryan Blaire
Those pads are also reminiscent of the Company Champion shoulder pads for Space Marines as well. LutherMax
Anyone got any ideas for the legs? Also, thoughts on this torso as an option... I'm also considering the two-handed axe arms from the Sanguinary Guard kit, though the wrist-mounted bolter would have to be removed... Vairocanum
I think some legs from stormcast eternals look similar to the artwork. The torso looks nice but I don't know how it's put together so not sure how easy it would be to make him holding a two handed weapon.
