Bloody Legionnaire
Has anyone found a way to darken 'Blood for the Blood God' paint? I enjoy using it but I'd like to darken it to create more of a fresh arterial blood effect. Ovidius Incertus
Add a bit of blue to it. Like a tiny bit of blue. Try a shade like Drakenhoff Nightshade or maybe one of the new tints. You could also try a miniscule (!) amount of a black or brown ink. I mix Tamiya clear blue with the clear red (more or less BFTBG) to get the result, but have used black ink in the past. Major_Gilbear
Black and/or puple worked well for me. Just add a tiny bit though! :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/331860-darkening-bftbg-technical/#findComment-4681230 Share on other sites
Tyberos the Red Wake
Nuln Oil. Before BftBG existed, we used Tamiya Clear Red and Nuln Oil/black ink for dark blood. Major_Gilbear
Well I used to use red and purple ink mixed with gloss varnish... And which I still prefer to BFTBG actually, but hey. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/331860-darkening-bftbg-technical/#findComment-4681241 Share on other sites
