Moritats and others - Can they translate outside of 30K?

Hi AoD, long time no chat about. I'd be around more, but I've been a bit busy with other things over the last year or so, and admittedly I'm still busy.... but after seeing the new Moritat model that's coming out soon, I thought I'd get back into my Death Guard.

 

Now, like some people, I play my 30K force as both 30K and 40K, in this case a large Nurgle themed contingient of CSM. There are certain units left out like the Dreadero... but I wanted to consider how one could include certain units. So I thought I'd start off with something simple. I'm considering getting a Moritat model or two when I next go over to the UK, either to theme it around the Death Guard, or to convert and theme for my Word Bearer CSM. But I've been trying to consider how one could field such a character's equivalent in a Chaos Space Marine army.

 

So my question is... how would you field the Consuls that might be hard to fit into non-Heresy era armies? Like, the Primus Medicae, the Master of Signals, the Moritat, etc.

 

I'm thinking if this little discussion is successful we could expand it out to ideas like the Dreadero

AoD topics and discussion have to remain within the umbrella of the AoD. Asking how you can/could use AoD Models in 40k as, say, Chaos Space Marines, is more appropriate in the Chaos Space Marine forum since it no longer pertains to AoD models being used in AoD games.

Ah, fair enough. Thought it'd be covered here due to being in consideration of how to use models that are also being used for AoD armies in 40k armies like CSM but at the same time I can see why that might be a problem. If anyone wishes they may close this topic, I plan to post a changed version in the other forums now. One that more specifically asks for each specific codex.

 

Of course, if wanted we could always change the topic around. Instead of how to use AoD models in 40k armies... what about what models you'd use for AoD units and armies and why? Like the Cultist model being used for basic troops in a malitia army.
