VulkansDynasty
Hi Guys! Before I get started on my next big project, I wanted to ask if anyone has a great tutorial or could do one for me on how to paint a Space Nebula effect over a large surface area. I've seen a few pictures depicting what I want to do, but no guide on how to do it. Anyone got anything? Isolia
There is something close in the tutorial section about painting galaxies on cloaks http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/331615-painting-a-starrygalaxy-cloak/?do=findComment&comment=4673026 It's not a nebula but it can help :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/331995-nebula-effect/#findComment-4684831 Share on other sites

Major_Gilbear
There's also a good video tutorial for painting such an effect on a starship model's base here by Ben Komets. Obviously a model base is likely smaller than you need, but the techniques are simple enough to scale up as you need. Surreal Cruelty
If you are using an Airbrush, okay, meant to post a link only, not the video itself.. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/331995-nebula-effect/#findComment-4685716 Share on other sites
VulkansDynasty
Some good things there, I think I'm going to have to combine a few of these methods to achieve my look, and test a bunch before I put paint on the actual models. Thanks for your help lads! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/331995-nebula-effect/#findComment-4685789 Share on other sites
