Which super heavy tank would you take?

Am I right in thinking that the Glaive only causes 1 Haywire attack against Armour?
And can anyone explain why its 100 points more than the Fellblade?

The FB seems to have a lot more output!

Looking at adding a Super Heavy Tank at the moment, love the look of the Glaive, but its rules seem underwhelming compared to the FB and Falchion.

For me? The Glaive. I love it, love everything about it (especially the "nonstandard" hull it has. FW sent me a Fellblade hull by mistake and I didn't notice until it was glued in).

For you? Honestly, look at each tank and your gut will tell you which one you really want. Especially in 30k, Rule of Cool wins.

It fires a beam that's 48"  long and 1" wide. It will eat infantry for breakfast and hits supers 1-4 times. It also carries four lascannons worth of "lol armor" for your AT needs.

Ah OK, i missed the part on the Heavy Beam profile about hitting Super's, makes it better than i thought. Since the Volkite Carronade is a Primary weapon, i'm guessing you can roll 2 D6 on the Haywire chart and pick the highest (for each of your hits against armour)?

I believe that is the case. I could be wrong, though.

Anyhoo, the great thing about the Carronade, even though it has quite a short range for a superheavy weapon, is that it will hit EVERYTHING under it's beam template. Even your own units if you're not careful. It'll only stop if 1) It hits the table edge, 2) if it hits a superheavy or a gargantuan creature or, 3) if it runs out of range. So, that tank column over there that can all be clipped by the Carronade? Yeah they're probably all screwed. ^_^
