jbizzl3y
As the title says really, Thinking of getting one for priming and basecoating, possibly a little bit of highlighting, to help increase my model output! was looking at the neo air kit for iwata which here in the UK is around £160 for compressor and airbrush. however ive just found this on offer.. http://www.rutlands.co.uk/pp+woodworking-workshop-equipment-spraying-airbrushes-kits+d06100 should be £100 but is half price, anyone have any experience with this brand or advice on this?! Evil Eye
Iwata is a great brand. I have an Eclipse, and whilst I've barely used it, just handling it gives you an idea of the quality. I wouldn't buy it as your first though. Get a cheaper one to practice with- it's a sad fact of life that you WILL ruin your first airbrush. Everybody does. Razblood
Just started using one myself, got a KMoon from ebay. Tale of Painters did a review on it and it was very positive especially for the price at the time. It has made priming much quicker and smoother, however cleaning it afterward is a pain in the backside  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/332419-thinking-of-getting-using-airbrush/#findComment-4695776 Share on other sites
Chaplain Raeven
Iwata has great brushes, you can't go wrong with one of those. EDIT: I was mistaken, I thought I had an Iwata Revolution, but it was a H&S Evolution. Can't help you there. Destroying your first brush isn't always true, I'm still using my first one, and I abused it plenty when learning the basics. Just don't start with the 0,2mm needles. I wouldn't use a compressor like that though, have a tank is much better for extended sessions. SW1
Get a compressor with a tank. If you end up getting some pos brushes with it consider the free and try them out. If you like it then look at buying a decent brush.
