Any human-sized lightning claw bits out there?

Recommended Posts

I've been away for a spell and haven't kept up with releases - so I'd like to ask you guys a question.

Are there any lightning claw bits that would fit a 28mm model?

Something like this http://i.imgur.com/HFB7ipQ.jpg?1

Reason being, I'm making a Renegade mutant/possessed/psyker for a CSM warband and the aesthetic of a claw similar to the one above would fit well.

I've looked at Inquisitorial stuff, Imperial Guard bits, heck, even Dark Eldar; but so far nothing.

*looks around*

Also, what year is this?

Not that I'm aware of, though you could take a stab at converting one. The lightning claw that comes with the Mk VI marines (and the Tartaros terminators) is simply a rack of four claws that you glue to a powerfist. You could cut those down to two or three claws (instead of four) and mount them on the hand of your choice, either a Guard sized powerfist, or even use a standard marine hand/arm if you want a slimmer looking style.

Just a thought.

Hope this helps.

That picture you linked is awesome, but seriously, I bet that guy cuts himself constantly and accidentally stabs subordinates all the time. Something tells me lightning claws when you aren't wearing power armor are a bad idea. ohmy.png

Try the Anvil Industries Regiment officer weapon pack- http://anvilindustry.co.uk/Regiments/Regiments-melee-weapons-equipment/Regiments-Officer-Melee-Weapons

Take the powerfist and add three blades to it, boom lightning claw. The Regiments stuff is definitely sized for humans rather than power armored figures.

I think using the claws from either the Mk4 Tactical Marines or the Tartaros Terminators trimmed and fitted to an IG powerfist (from the Cadian or Catachan command squad kits maybe) are your best bet. Simple, fairly cheap, and can be all-plastic if you want.

Check out the frost claws for the space wolf wulfen. You can get the bits fairly cheap on eBay from bits sellers. The nice thing about them is they fit around the wrists of your regular models. That way you won't have huge space marine fists on little human arms.
