Skaven Conversions

Recommended Posts

Has anyone here used skaven bits for converting?  I'm looking for advice/considerations before jumping head long into something like this.

I've seen pictures of them so I know people have done them, and between SWs and CSM bodies it should look good.

Quick add on:  I've got loads of clan rats and gutter runners from 3rd ed, so they do have the separate heads and tails.

If they are modeled Chaos Marines and there is conversion work done to make them suitably "40K-ified" through conversions, they'd be acceptable here. Plus, more mutated Ratlings as Chaos followers.

Blank Dave, not entirely sure what advice you are looking for, but head swaps, weapon swaps to 40K weapons, rat tails sneaking out of armor, ominous green glows from eyes and power packs, little rats running around Marine feet, etc., all seem to be possible go-TOs for that.

Well, I'm thinking on how to get the heads to fit right on a marine torso. Build up the neck and pop the head on, or try to her the marine a little hunched over to get the rattier posture.

What I have been doing for the past few weeks is use the Genestealer Cult Hybrids and put some skaven heads on them and convert up some cultist/skaven/scion arms to make use of them as Mutant cultists. Not really Chaos Space Marines, but I think the size would just fit about right for CSM stand-ins :)
