OakRiver
Good morning all, For those of you better versed in using weathering powders than I how do you seal them after applying them to your miniatures? I was following an tutorial that suggested using Lahmian Medium; When I use that technique to seal the grey weathering on my Blood Angels it just about completely removes the effect. Are there better ways to seal the pigment, or do I just need to use a lot more of it? micahwc
I've never done this personally, but I've watched a lot of youtube videos and I stayed at a Holiday Inn last night. Sprayed matt varnish. Preferably out of an airbrush where you can set the air down low and spray from a distance so you don't remove all your weathering powder. OakRiver
That could work, but my challenge is that I am limited to using traditional brushes for now. Bung
There is something called Pigment Fixer from Mig, AK Interactive and other brands you can bring it on with a brush but it will tone down the pigments. You need to test how much you have to overdo the pigments with the pigment fixer to get your desired effect. You can bring on more pigments when the pigment fixer has dried and do that step again.
