Victoria Miniature bits

Quick question folks, I would like to add some female troops to my guard. Victoria Miniatures has a great reputation. My question is how do the arms and heads they produce match up with GW's torsos. Should I also purchase the female torso bits? With flak armour I wouldn't think you would notice the "curves" anyway unless the proportions are off. I'm hoping a head swap would be enough.

From what I've seen it's more than the chest, but the width to make them more noticeably female. At 28mm things need a little exaggeration to be noticeable so I'm not sure if it'd work? As for GW's kits, Victoria's stuff is thinner/smaller so GW's older plastics may look a bit chunky by comparison, but we'd need to see some pictures to be sure.

I'd suggest biting the bullet and going with the full kit, personally. Vic's minis are really good anyway; and the full kit will just look 'right' in a way that a headswap/arm swap won't. While the male Arcadian troops are largely interchangeable with GW plastic Cadians, the female ones are noticeably slighter, and the narrower waist and shoulders help sell them as realistically female in proportion.

Thanks for all the responses guys! I had some unexpected bills so I'm going to have to hold off for the moment. When I do get the cash I think I'll try a few full kits and maybe a set of those heads that were talked about. My main goal is to fit a few females in scattered about. It's mainly for my 5 year old daughter. She asked why there were no "girls" and I didn't have a good reason. Again thanks for all the quick replies.
