SockMonkey
Ok to you talented painters out there, what would you use? I'm not great at painting so simple is good. I'm tempted to paint flesh then wash it in red. Fluff is all over the place, copper would be a goal, but NOT metallic. Cheers! NoLifeKing
Im not trying to be racist or anything... but imagine an shade of skin fo a stereotypical native american, but make it more... red. When the shade of the crimson kings skin is described as being "copper" is to eloquently describe it as extremely tanned. And this is just my opinion, but to say that the fluff is "all over the place" is silly thing to say, since every piece of official artwork and literature quite clearly tells us his skin is red, hence the nicknames like "The Crimson King" and "Magnus the Red". With that said, i would suggest that you pick a color like mephiston red, and tone it with either earth or flesh shade washes. Corswain
The fluff also says Magnus appearance was changeable (Lorgar says something like that in Betrayer) so I think you can reasonably justify any kind of skin tone. Personally, I'm just going to have a play around with shading and highlighting Bugmans. See what happens.
