Ad Mech Knight paint scheme

Just a quick question about the paint job on ad mech imperial knights, as I'm looking to make them house raven. I'm more looking into the paint of the non armored pieces. The non armored pieces to me look black but when you look at the paint schemes that come with the instructions it shows it as bolt gun metal. I'm wondering if you guys can help me out as I'm almost done building my 9 knights.

From the images I've seen you'd probably be best off painting them gunmetal. That's a closer match than pure black.

It's gun metal with a wash of nuln oil and a drybrush of necron compound.

 

The difference of colours of metal on the raven paint scheme is here to underline the difference between a dark, full of oil and coat metal of the robotic parts and the silver trims of the armour pieces.

Thanks it looks so dark it's deceiving. Cool I bought some army painter spray paints so will go ahead and prime when I'm good to go.
