Rangaman
Are Drop Pods required to physically drop there doors in-play on the battlefield? I know the occupants must disembark immediately but, for the sake of lazy modelling/painting, is there any rule saying you cannot glue the doors shut? Kizzdougs
Under the 'Drop Pod Assault' rule it says, "as soon as a drop pod is deployed, its doors are automatically opened to their full extent." Also, don't be lazy Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/333074-drop-pods/#findComment-4714295 Share on other sites
Halandaar
However, according to the most recent FAQ, Drop Pod doors have no effect on line of sight and are ignored for game purposes once the Drop Pod has been deployed, so if you want to glue them shut then there is no longer a rules-reason not to. But don't, because opening Drop Pods look cooler. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/333074-drop-pods/#findComment-4714301 Share on other sites
Rangaman
Haha I try not to be... I can't find the latest 7th Ed FAQ but a few guys from.my gaming club mentioned that the doors are now ignored for gaming purposes...so I wasn't too sure. I planned on putting the pods on a base on a slight angle sort of buried into the ground. Edit: Halandaar beat me to it and even linked the faq for me, thanks mate Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/333074-drop-pods/#findComment-4714302 Share on other sites
