Marshal Rohr
Carrion Throne was hands down one of the best 40k novels in years. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/333364-carrion-throne-review-and-opinions/page/6/#findComment-5117437 Share on other sites
SkimaskMohawk
See I like carrion throne more because they aren't a pov character. Navaradan isn't a character, he's a plot device simply because he's so far above the scope of inquisitorial warbands and gutter trash. I also like the investigation stuff a lot more than last 1/3 of the book just being fighting DarkChaplain 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/333364-carrion-throne-review-and-opinions/page/6/#findComment-5117441 Share on other sites
DarkChaplain
Good news, everyone! Q: Is Vaults of Terra: The Carrion Throne a one-off, or will we be seeing more with those characters? A: I’m writing the sequel at the moment! Crowl, Spinoza, Revus and the rest will all be back soon. https://www.warhammer-community.com/2018/08/29/ask-the-author-chris-wraight/ Kelborn, Xisor and Phoebus 3 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/333364-carrion-throne-review-and-opinions/page/6/#findComment-5156528 Share on other sites

Izlude
So excited, this along with Emperor's Legion was simply some of the best this past year. Rob P
Sorry for the slight necro - but has anyone read this book recently. First time read through and i'm a little wobbly on it. I like the characters and the plot seems ok. Feels a bit slow and doesn't feel like Terra (if that even makes sense). aa.logan
It’s maybe a bit of a slow-burner, but once you’re into it, it really gets under the skin. I’d say the sequel is probably better, but they both give us a lot of good stuff on Terra...
