garetheves
Seen loads in various photos over the last year or so but now im actually in a position to need/want one I cant find the links lol. So link up your paint pot stands, brush holders, general desk accessories for painting stations to tempt me :) Ive had a look on Amazon and seen some MDF ones which are ok, seen a good Vallejo corner one which I love the look of but I use Citadel paints so would need to be for pots not bottles. Cheers in advance :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/333389-paint-potbrush-holder/ Share on other sites
Venerable Jazzman
I use one beer can for good brushes, and one for terrain/glue brushes. just run a can-opener round the top once you've finished, file any jaggy bits and wash it out. The chopping board/palette is years old, every now and again it gets scrubbed with a wire pan scourer and comes up good as. Paint shelves are from IKEA, £4 each, and the little glass jars full of basing stuff are IKEA too. In fact, most stuff in this pic is IKEA Apart from the Elvis mug, which was from my Gran's pilgrimage to Graceland The paint brush holder and water pot was from Lidl, I think, and it's a great idea. http://thumbnails101.imagebam.com/54645/4a6e8f546448246.jpg And yes, Mr Staypuft is an original, as is the clockwork Doozer Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/333389-paint-potbrush-holder/#findComment-4729107 Share on other sites
jimbo1701
I'm also on the lookout for one of the citadel style paint pots with the brush holder around the rim. The one that fits in the hobby station. Anyone know a good generic equivalent. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/333389-paint-potbrush-holder/#findComment-4729361 Share on other sites
Venerable Jazzman
Jimbo, this seems to have you covered - https://www.artsupplies.co.uk/cat-brush-care-&-water-pots.htm http://www.saa.co.uk/accessories/water-containers-wash-tubs?p=1 http://thewatercolourartist.com/water-containers-wash-tubs.php Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/333389-paint-potbrush-holder/#findComment-4729672 Share on other sites
garetheves
I used those shelves for herbs on the inside of a kitchen cupboard :) With mainly using Citadel paints though I think they may be a bit tall for my needs. I like your creativity though :) I do like the can idea though for brush holders. Might steal that and make something unique, a piece of pretend scenery or something out of one :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/333389-paint-potbrush-holder/#findComment-4729831 Share on other sites
Charlo
TTCombat do a good one - Cheap, cheerful and works a treat! Has done me well for a while now. Just need to superglue it together and it works fine (though I actually didn't glue the back section to the tray, no need!) and the little pallet worked fine until I got a wet one. Oh and as a bonus, as you pop out all of the paint holders you end up with a fair few MDF circles - perfect for popping mini's on while painting etc Think I might give it a coat of filler spray and a wash down soon to get a slightly smoother finish, but no need at all. https://ttcombat.com/collections/paint-stations/products/paint-station-mix-palette-gw-citadel-tamiya-size Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/333389-paint-potbrush-holder/#findComment-4729842 Share on other sites
garetheves
Cheers for that, its probably a bit on the small side for me. Its good for holding the paints that im using on a particular model but I need something more like whats going to hold all my paints as a storage option :) Cheers though :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/333389-paint-potbrush-holder/#findComment-4730917 Share on other sites
