RavenMonk
Hi wanted to make a 1k sons list trying not to use Magnus/Amon or Ahriman. Wanted to use the blades because I love the models! Going to go mainly biomancy for powers for stat and combat buffs. Praetor+Libby with the blades in spartan. Let me know what you think. Thinking of extending the list to 2500 with some points tweaked to allow a fellblade as I love that model too. Thanks _Thousand Sons 30k_ _Legiones Astartes_ **Praetor**: Psyker (Mastery Level 3); Paragon blade; Arcane Litanies **Osiron Dreadnought Talon** - **Osiron Dreadnought**: Kheres pattern assault cannon **Librarian**: Mastery Level 2 _ **5 Tactical Support Marines**: Tactical Support Sergeant; 4 Tactical Support Marines; rotor cannons (Asphyx shells) **10 Tactical Space Marines**: Tactical Sergeant; 9 Tactical Space Marines - **Rhino** **10 Tactical Space Marines**: Tactical Sergeant; 9 Tactical Space Marines - **Rhino** **Contemptor Mortis Dreadnought**: 2 Kheres pattern assault cannons **10 Khenetai Blades**: Khenetai Blademaster; 9 Khenetai Blades **Sicaran Venator Tank Destroyer** **Spartan Assault Tank** _1,995 points_ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/333450-1k-sons-2000-point-list/ Share on other sites
RavenMonk
Here's a different take that I'm playing with Please let me know what you think _Thousand Sons Terminators_ _Legiones Astartes_ **Praetor in Terminator armour**: Psyker (Mastery Level 3); Paragon blade; Arcane Litanies - **3 Chosen Terminators**: Terminator Standard Bearer; 2 Chosen Terminators - **Land Raider Phobos** **Librarian in Terminator armour**: Mastery Level 2 **5 Tactical Support Marines**: Tactical Support Sergeant; 4 Tactical Support Marines; rotor cannons (Asphyx shells) **10 Veteran Space Marines**: Veteran Sergeant; 9 Veteran Space Marines; Brotherhood of Psykers (Mastery Level 1) - **Rhino** **5 Sekhmet Terminators**: Sekhmet Inceptor; 4 Sekhmet Terminators - **Land Raider Phobos** **Contemptor Mortis Dreadnought**: 2 Kheres pattern assault cannons **5 Heavy Support Marines**: Heavy Support Sergeant; 4 Heavy Support Marines; missile launchers; flakk missiles **Fellblade Super-heavy Tank**: Space Marine Legion Crew; armoured ceramite _2,515 points_ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/333450-1k-sons-2000-point-list/#findComment-4730881 Share on other sites
Unknown Legionnaire
I think both lists feel like they lack focus somehow. The characters as well as the Tacs and / or Vet Tacs are sorta under-equipped. A unit of 5 Tac Supports will be dead turn one and absolutely doesn't justify the points for Asphyx. Either go big or go home with this unit. RavenMonk
I see your point, here's a tweaked list. My idea behind is terminators teleport in because of the right of war. Rest of army is shooting based meant to sit back and let rip. I've taken a fortification but haven't checked if I can with this right of war as the books at work. Let be know what you think. Thanks _Thousand Sons Terminators_ _Legiones Astartes_ **Praetor in Terminator armour**: Rite of War (The Guard of the Crimson King); Psyker (Mastery Level 3); Paragon blade; Arcane Litanies - **3 Chosen Terminators**: Terminator Standard Bearer; 2 Chosen Terminators **Librarian in Terminator armour**: Mastery Level 2; Arcane Litanies **10 Tactical Support Marines**: Tactical Support Sergeant; 9 Tactical Support Marines; rotor cannons (Asphyx shells) **5 Sekhmet Terminators**: Sekhmet Inceptor; 4 Sekhmet Terminators **5 Sekhmet Terminators**: Sekhmet Inceptor; 4 Sekhmet Terminators **Contemptor Mortis Dreadnought**: 2 Kheres pattern assault cannons **5 Heavy Support Marines**: Heavy Support Sergeant (augury scanner); 4 Heavy Support Marines; missile launchers; flakk missiles **5 Heavy Support Marines**: Heavy Support Sergeant (augury scanner); 4 Heavy Support Marines; lascannons **Fellblade Super-heavy Tank**: Space Marine Legion Crew; armoured ceramite _Allied Fortifications (Age of Darkness)_ **Aegis Defence Line**: Comms Relay _2,500 points_ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/333450-1k-sons-2000-point-list/#findComment-4730893 Share on other sites
Spiritual Liege
The list lacks punch. What are going to do if you face multiple AV 14? Fellblade is cool, but kinda lackluster imo and doesn't do that anti-tank job very well either. Drop heavy support teams and maybe tactical support too and take some serious AT with the points. Mortis should be changed to podded dual fist Contemptor, dropping Leviathans are also good. You could also change the Fellblade to a Falchion. Gives you powerful anti-tank firepower and D is overally good. Also a little reminder, its Rite of War not Right of War. Nothing personal, and probably just a mistake, but an annoying one Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/333450-1k-sons-2000-point-list/#findComment-4731390 Share on other sites
Nightmare84
its got everything good from Ksons rules in it but still lacking a tiny bit. 2x 5 man heavy support squads will get deleted in no time. better that you make 1x10. Fellblade is a great looking tank but doesnt scream thousand sons to me i would be more likely to go for glaive, falchion, cerebrus. nothing more space wizardy than laser beams. Im unsure as well if you can take a fortification im not near my book but im 99% sure its no allies and no fort. . Also a little reminder, its Rite of War not Right of War. Nothing personal, and probably just a mistake, but an annoying one easy.... Apple auto correct will quite often change "rite" to "right" depending on the context. Dulahan
Also, why no Iron Halo on your Praetor? That seriously adds to their survivability. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/333450-1k-sons-2000-point-list/#findComment-4734594 Share on other sites
Spiritual Liege
He already seems to have some kind of terminator armour, because of the Command squad. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/333450-1k-sons-2000-point-list/#findComment-4734848 Share on other sites
