I, FarFromSam, do hereby vow to complete a Landraider Achilles, a Landraider Spartan, and a Flying Land Raider Ram for the honor of the 1st legion's 1st company.  Worth 985 points, on my honor it shall be completed before I die.   For the Lion, For the Emperor.

There are some battle brothers who can be counted upon to step up and seve the lion even when the need is apparently absent. whistling.gif ... Well done brother! Look forward to your work. The Lion will indeed appreciate it.

Alright brothers, I have come upon an impasse.  So, This being my first set of fancy models I was very excited to get to building and painting.  I gave them the same quick wash, brush and soak I do to all my models in water. Then I built, primed and got my base coat on the Achilles (personal fave of the three.)  Well, when I removed the tape used for the red striping good chunks of paint came up with it.  Mind you I have used this tape for my other striping jobs.  See pics below.

So, I taped up the red in hopes I could do quick primer, and base the patches, but when I took that paint off, guess what... yup. See below.

Pretty nasty stuff right?  this is the first time using a new primer "STYNYLREZ"  from Badger, but I'm inclined to think that it was more a matter of me not giving the model  enough tub scrub love, and removing the funk before priming it.   Anyway, here's where I need yalls help.  Should I patch/handpaint/cover the exposed plastic and seal with a varnish? or soak the thing in simple and start all the way over from scratch?   Keep in mind I have 2 other LARGE vehicles that may or may not be in the same spot.  If sealing with a varnish fixes it that would be my preference.  If not, well then I would rather know now before finishing the model only to the paint slough off a month from now.  Thanks for the help.

I had the same problem brother. I got a few tips from the guys here.

What I did to correct it was clean the parts again. After it was all completely dry , I primed again and waited a whole day. Afterwards, I retaped and repainted and removed the tape as sooon as possible. It came out ggood afterwards, I hope this helps.
