BigJon
Doing some reading on Ordo Sinister and it states there are four "chambers" of 5 Sinister-Warlord Titans, each. It also states each chamber maintains it own support. Is it possible, or even probable that each chamber maintains its own Skitarii and none Psy-Titans? I could see a Sinister-Warlord being protected and escorted by standard titans and support troops. Mechanicus Tech-Support
*snip*Ordo Sinister has only 12 Titans, all of which are Emperor Titans. Where are you seeing Ordo Sinister Warlords? SJ There's been some new fluff in HH:Inferno, and I believe there was a short story from BL about an Ordo Sinister Psi-Warlord doing a last stand in the webway war. I'm probably missing somethings. Psi-Titans all belong to the Collegia Telepathica, and are on loan to areas in need on a case by case basis based on precognitive forecasting. If there was a Psi-Titan working in conjunction with Ordo Sinister, it was a special request. Ordo Sinister oversees exterminatus, which would normally not require a Psi-Titan present. There was some stuff in a similar thread here but the issue to get past is their tendency to drive nearby troops, friend and foe, mad... On regular titans, I doubt it, the ordo sinister is a very specialised tool. Stuff that requires normal titans would probably be left to normal titan legions. Supporting knights and tanks though, maybe! They do need to be protected from infantry and it'd be difficult to always rely on allied forces in whatever theatre they're engaged in. *snip*Ordo Sinister has only 12 Titans, all of which are Emperor Titans. SJ For 30k at least, Inferno has a lot more detail than was present. The stuff about the forecasting and the Collegia Telepathica has been changed, as have the titans; at the time of the heresy there are 20 "Terranic Pattern Warlord-Sinister Psi-Titans", no Emperors. It's not impossible that it all changed by the 41st millennium though, they're so secretive it's hard to tell. At any rate the Preceptor-Intendants could no longer be trained by the Emperor himself, as during the great crusade. jeffersonian000
Terranic Pattern Warlord-Sinister Psi-Titans does not necessarily mean Ordo Sinister Psi-Titans. Ordo Sinister post-dates the Heresy. SJ The Ordo Sinister pre-date the heresy. There's a whole background section in Inferno about the 30k Ordo Sinister and their role at Prospero, as well as rules for their Psi-titans. https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-FR/The-Horus-Heresy-Book-Seven-Inferno "Full background for the forces involved is included: on the side of the Imperium you’ll find Space Wolves, Legio Custodes, Sisters of Silence, Servants of the Warmaster and the Ordo Sinister" There's also an alright short story from the perspective of a Ordo Sinister princeps on Terra during the heresy and the war in the webway: http://www.blacklibrary.com/all-products/hh-at-ordo-sinister-ebook.html Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/333777-ordo-sinister-forces/#findComment-4752717 Share on other sites
jeffersonian000
The Inquisition post-dates the Heresy, and Ordo Sinister is an Inquisitorial order. No idea how BL is spinning a retcon on that. Sandlemad
They were never an inquisitorial order, they just had 'Ordo' as a title. Just like the Ordo Reductor of the Mechanicus. The old fluff in Adeptus Titanicus had the 'Legio Ordo Sinister' as an mysterious elite titan legion with, as you said, all emperor titans under the command of a guy called Ferromort. No connection to the inquisition mentioned. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/333777-ordo-sinister-forces/#findComment-4753607 Share on other sites
jeffersonian000
I just read up on the Warlord Sinister and the retconned Ordo Sinister. Sounds ... disappointing. Guess they did it to sell the new Titan. To bad they Squated the Psi-Titan Corp by rolling into Ordo Sinister. /sigh SJ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/333777-ordo-sinister-forces/#findComment-4753938 Share on other sites
