franksta88
Hey everyone, The hot debate in my LGS is if Mhara Gals can walk through Zone Mortalis walls since they are "impassable terrain" and the rules stats the Dreadnought goes through "obstacles". Now some people say yes they can walk through the walls and the loudest ones say that they can't. i tried searching the board but couldn't find an answer. If anyone is able to either answer the question or link me to the answer on here or anywhere on the net that would be nice, thanks.EDIT: I posted this in the wrong section my bad. please move. That question sums up all what is wrong in a lot of 40k communities and why I moved to Horus Heresy. Withershadow
Tomato tohmato? An obstacle is impassable terrain. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/333888-mhara-gal-and-zone-mortalis/#findComment-4753722 Share on other sites
LtDan
I'd say it's a solid wall not terrain so no. But nothing stopping you smashing through a wall if you attack it?? Gorgoff
Yeah, and the wall is only 3" high so you could just walk over it. -_- Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/333888-mhara-gal-and-zone-mortalis/#findComment-4754182 Share on other sites
Lord Blackwood
The wall represents the interior of a ship, not something you can just walk over it. If its a door you can attack the door and smash through it. Oh, is that true? What a new and totally surprising information... ;) I made a joke but apparently it wasn't obvious enough. Trydragon
Reading there rules its simple if the wall is 1" thick then you can walk thought it, it dosnt matter if its impassable terrain its still an obstacle in game terms. disease
Why do you want to be that guy? Having a unit that can walk through walls is obviously not how ZM is meant to be played. 'But thats not what it says in the rules for Mhara-Gal!' Exploiting loopholes to gain unfair advantage is a douchey thing to do. 'But my army is fluffy' It would be just as fluffy to drop the mhara gal or play normally. franksta88
I'm not "that guy" because I don't play word bearers. I'm a dark Angels player but I play word bearers a lot and I was making sure we play correctly. I'm going to let my opponent walk his dread through walls coz I think it would be fun to play against. And it doesn't ever win him the game so it doesn't matter to me Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/333888-mhara-gal-and-zone-mortalis/#findComment-4765248 Share on other sites

Are you that guy for bringing meltaguns in zone mortalis because you expect bulkheads and other dreadnoughts? Step off your high horse a little. Gorgoff
Aren't the ZM walls thicker then 1" anyway? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/333888-mhara-gal-and-zone-mortalis/#findComment-4766454 Share on other sites
franksta88
The forgeworld ones are like 1.5". We've got a custom built one which is thinner. Unless In the ZM rules it says the walls have to be a certain width Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/333888-mhara-gal-and-zone-mortalis/#findComment-4766945 Share on other sites
