Zone Mortalis Word Bearers w/Mechanicum Allies Help

Ever since First Heretic, I've had the idea of a Word Bearer breacher force allied with robots/mechanicum.  I don't have my Red Books nearby thanks to loaning them to a friend.  Is the below force legal?  I had thought there is a Rite of War I'd take with the Praetor that would permit using robots.  Thanks for any help and suggestions.

It's illegal. Word Bearers need another compulsory HQ that's either a regular Centurion or Chaplain, Diabolist is neither. Also Ursarax are not automata and cannot be taken with the rite. 

 

And does any of your guys have any wargear? If not, give some to them immediately.

Three ways to get robots into your list (Ursarax are a thrall unit so they fall under Option 3)

 

Option 1: Take a Tech-Marine with a cortex controller, Castellax are now Heavy Support choices. 

Option 2: Take a Legion Praevian (expensive as he'll have to a third HQ choice), however he grants them awesome buffs (can take either one Castellax or Vorax maniple, has to join them and can't leave)

Option 3: Ally a Mechanicum detachment, in which case you need 1 HQ and 1 Troops, with then 1 more Troops, 1 Elite, 1 FA and one Heavy choice as options. Ursarax are a Fast Attack choice, but I wouldn't take them because Gal Vorbak are way better. 

 

To be honest, ZM games tend to be quite small, I think you'll end up spending too many points trying to fit any robots in. 1,000 - 1,500 points is quite tight for Legion, especially because you'll probably want to take Breachers or Assault squads for Troops. Also the mandatory 2 HQ choices eats into your points quite rapidly. I'd take the Praevian if you're really keen, he's the best way to field Castellax or Vorax.
