=][= Primaris Chapter markings and heraldry sheet 2.0 =][=

Recommended Posts

Greetings, brothers and sisters of the Liber! With the recent article on the Ultima Founding (and the handy .pdf file provided), I've taken the opportunity to convert the heraldry sheet to a .png format and a 1200x846 resolution.

Feel free to use the image (as intended by GW) for your own Primaris colour schemes!

[Disclaimer: This is not my own image, it is GW's, if that wasn't clear already.]

That's so cool, thank you GW and thank you, Olis! :tu:

I'll play with it later on, when I got some spare time at work. ^^

Can someone recommend a certain tool to work with it? Only got the standard programs from Windows, paint and the likes.

That's so cool, thank you GW and thank you, Olis!

I've heard some complaints from people that bits of the linework are broken up, which you can see pretty fairly, so most I can say is don't immediately take the paint bucket tool to it.

I myself have encountered issues, because the lines are not solid. Short of having someone fix the line work in PS, it's a problem I can't help with, I'm afraid. :(

Exactly this... Come on GW...!

I've uploaded a new version to the OP, courtesy of Grotsmasha. The previous problem should be mitigated now. :)

Way better now, thank you very much Grotsmasha!

*edit*

Adding my first attempt of creating a Primaris color scheme.

Left additional helmet configurations, etc. out for later on, when I got more fleshed out.

Well now I should just pull mine down...

Just kidding, that looks awesome Brother Arkley!!!  I love how these guys look!

If you give me a day I could update yours if you like? :smile.:

Brother, I would be eternally grateful if you decided to update mine for me.

@olis: program as in coding yes, though for the moment it would probably be some kind of Gimp plugin, so not too complicated normally (the aim is both to improve my Python skills and to have a useful tool for the community)

@cpt reaper: I've also use Gimp, I can provide the xcf file I used with the masks - for the moment it's rather long winded to modify all the colours of the sections, but it works

@arkley: the shading is awesome, would you be able to explain how you did it, so that I can integrate some shading into the plugin?

Another attempt for my Warbeasts chapter.

I was influenced by the 30K Wolves' color scheme and markings. As a successor of the Vlka Fenryka, I imagined that the Primaris would like to emulate their ancestors, at least from what they were taught by RG and his officers. As most of the history of the SW are not written down, I thought that they would teach them everything they've got, most likely all the stuff from the GC & HH era. So I'm intending to take some bits from the 30K Wolves, mentioned in Inferno, making them a seek & destroy force, spread across the Great Rift, chasing down traitors and xenos alike.

Hope that it's better than my last attempt. Tried to do my best with my limited paint skills. I did edit it a bit with Word as well in order to make it sharper and easier to read. :)

Ranks will and units might get more fitting names like Raider (Veterans), Blooded (brother), Pride Leader (sergeant), etc.

The Wolfborn are a cadre of Space Wolves (most of them are specialists like Iron Priests, Wolf Priests, etc.), who were assigned by Logan Grimnar with raising them in the ways of Russ.

I will help the best I can but I am a retard :P... I was using Photoshop. I am not sure how it translates to Gimp?

It shouldn't be too far off :)

I am in the process of redoing the PSD I am using... I have sorted Halved and Quartered.. Once I have it all sorted its just a case of me switching colour layers and gradients as needed so I can knock them out faster.

I still have one person in my queue to finish so if anyone else needs them I am more than happy to make them.

Old way a complete cluster:censored:
New way very easy to use etc.
