Chaos Lord Tom
I'm running a force of 1 WL on foot, 2 10xGH packs, 1 unit of 3 TW, 1 unit of 5 Wulfen, 5 skyclaws, 5 long fangs, 1 LR, 1 RB and 1 Pod. I'm still having 5 marines not assembled and I wonder if should go for : 5 wolf guards with 2-5 combi weapons in the razorback adding flexibility to my force and model 1 WG with a jump pack to avoid head strong on the skyclaws, 1 GH with banner, 2 WG with combi to go with the GH any other option i didn't think of Thanks ! Brother Dallo
I'd probably hold off building anything until 8th edition drops in a few weeks as units in 7th ed may not perform the same way in 8th, so if you're looking for the "best" choice, I'd wait to see what that actually is when the new rules drop officially. If you just want to build what looks cool, that is also a valid option. I'd be wary of giving a jump pack to the Wolf Guard. It appears that many models have lost the opportunity to take a jump pack, such as the SM librarian and chaplain. We're assuming that this will be addressed once the proper codices arrive, but for now, it looks like several models have been invalidated. Hope this helps. Rune Priest Jbickb
Wolf guard are what I would go with, for the flavor if nothing else. They can be kitted for versatility. I'm currently looking at a couple with storm shield and power weapons mixed with two or 3 combi weapons (probably plasma) after these rule leaks. It just sounds solid at lower points. All combi is a more classic loadout and is likely just as viable.
