Guest
So took the time to update the SW Handbook project that I was working on. I saw people were getting frusterated with HQ's the most (flipping back and forth between pages) so I updated that first. Let me know what you think of the format. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1meTgzCrzQAh3OuHN1q7hMmcnt3YYBIqrQps2IWiRtiU/edit?usp=sharing Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/334278-sw-handbook/ Share on other sites
Quixus
Nice keep up the good work. Are you sure you want to include the April Fools' video about left handed brushes? Why is the table of contents called glosary? Is there a reason for the items in the ToC being numbered 1, 2, 3, and 5? As for the numbers there was originally more sections (lore, formations, and such). Last time I posted this for 7e it was suggested to drop the lore and keep just the model/rules. I did so, and with 8e things like formations were removed for a simpler detachment idea. Guest
So I did a little work more. Added link from the Unit Type Overview, clicking on it will take you directly to the unit type. Added Troops types, and some Elite choices. I removed the Wargear/Equipment and Abilities. It was getting too much like the rules and I didn't want it to replace GW book but make a easier reference. So now the units have their name/pg #/points/stats/ pack size. Let me know if you guys like this or if its a waste of my time. hammer grimblood
Looks great so far Caldersson! It's nice to see a break down of the detachments and our units without having to flip between dozens of pages. A few points to help you improve the handbook: - GH and BC packs have a GHPL or a BCPL at unknown cost, that are included; a WGPL is taken in addition to these unit PL's despite the wording, if I understand correctly. - Are you not yet through Fast Attack, Heavy Support, Lords of War and Fliers? - One odd thing, to be first point in this list above: I have yet to find where the points value for a GHPL or BCPL are located, in the points buy section. Pack Leaders for GH and BC don't cost any more points than a regular BC or GH. You can take an additional WC Pack Leader, who is the base price of the unit, or a WC Pack Leader in Terminator armor who has his own points cost. Most sergeant level characters in this game are free upgrades, with the WCPL in Terminator Armor one of the only exceptions. Guest
Updated with the Space Marine Elites, and the SW Fast Attack. The Heavy Support is also done just double checking all information so expect Heavy Support and Flyers to be done tomorrow. I will try and get Vehicles done too. After that I will make a subsection for Primaris as they don't use the same transport vehicles and it would be confusing. Still trying to get format to be better if anyone has suggestions.
