Have there been any instances of a Hardcover Black Library title that say, had initially only 1000 made, sold out, then due to popular demand they have brought them back? Or if I miss out there, would Ebay be my only chance? Thanks for the insight.

Then they were so-so books and sold really bad they float up in BL  archive later after several months by themselves. Or - like in case with 'The Purge' they did found a box of novellas at the warehouse and it's was pushed through archive again (story from BL live 2016 frm the logistic team)

I think the closest thing I've seen of this was from around Jan 2015. BL updated their site with Last Chance offers on quite a few Limited Edition runs from years gone by. I am assuming they had excess stock, returns or what not from over the years and decided to clear out. I managed to grab Aureian, the extra limited Gold edition and a few other HH Novellas, the numbers available were crazy low, something like 13 of this book, 25 of that etc...

There are also the events where LE stock is brought out, quite a number of LEs were available at Warhammer Fest - whether this is the same stock as that listed in BL.co.uk is a matter of debate.

Exactly - saw some at BL Live 2016 and at WF.

Something like that happened during summer 2016.  Then they had less releases they used archive tactic

Ha ha, I remember when they 'found' the limited eds sitting around. Terrible lie, but it worked they are all gone. They might need to 'loose' the Gaunts Ghost box set, the entire age of sigmar collection along with the Calth box set. Find them in a year or two and hope they get them shifted.

I would be pretty miffed if they did re runs of limited editions. It sort of defeats the point of the whole limited thing.

This year will definitely see a re-release and overhauled stock and warehouses stuff for the Gaunt Ghosts, cause of the release of the 'Warmaster'.

'Terrible lie, but it worked they are all gone' - it's not a direct lie, it's more of a half-truth as it goes. Some guys from the support stuff told me they do indeed find LE boxes sometimes in unexpected places :teehee:

On the other hand it's a usual advertisement sale tactic then something suffers in sales.
