Bmseifer
As a celebration to the new edition I will be starting another chapter. (It's something I've been trying to do earlier but always got stuck before I even got somewhere). It will be a new army so no re-purposing of old models. I have two starter boxes worth of Primaris pre ordered and a few kits that I've started to build and paint. Here is my first few test models. Well, it's not really test models per se because the color scheme is decided and planned for the entire army. I'm awaiting the rulebook and index books to get a feel for what models I want to include in the army. http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn18/mperssonbmmseifer/20170607_172335_zpsokztbyye.jpg http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn18/mperssonbmmseifer/2017-06-07%2017.22.11_zpspfwrb56b.jpg Captain Idaho, Aspecti, PaddyG and 7 others 10 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/334429-going-blue/ Share on other sites
Major_Gilbear
Looks very smart, well done! :) I think you could push the blue highlights with the airbrush a little more though, to really make the blue colour more dynamic and visually interesting. Plus, blue is actually a pretty forgiving colour in that regard, so going a bit bolder usually works well. Bmseifer
So now Photobucket started to charge to be able to link I'm going to try Imgur instead. Starting with a pic of my painting desk as it looks at the moment. I just love the fact that my desk CAN look like this now, with a mix of different Imperium units all viable in the same army. Right now the plan is to have a 50/50 force of Ultramarines and Imperial Guard. The Ultramarine part of the army will be elite units, clearly showing they're the empereros finest while the IG will provide the bodies and artillery http://i.imgur.com/SXp8T6G.jpg robofish7591 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/334429-going-blue/#findComment-4803939 Share on other sites
Freman Bloodglaive
I'm in a similar boat. I have a bunch of unpainted miniatures, including plastic Mk III and Mk IV along with a large amount of terminators, and since I have a bunch of Ultramarines including Granddaddy Smurf, Guilliman, himself, I figure I might as well paint them all blue. However I'm tempted by a more Dornian Heresy Ultramarines theme, albeit without all the Tau upgrades.
