Slave to Darkness
apparently you can get the shoulder pads off with a bit of work , and fit the sculpted ones on there , these are pictures from a Games workshop in New Castle I think they look pretty damn good with the shoulderpads / headswaps Dude in the right looks like he listens to 80's band, Flock of Seagulls. Shush you, Flock of Seagulls are amazing!!! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/334469-imperium-of-darkness-sw-and-primaris-fluff/page/5/#findComment-4785679 Share on other sites
Frater Cornelius
There is no question. When it comes to looks, Primaris hit the normals out of the water. I dunno if you count them as "normal Marines" but I still think the MKIV Marines are the best looking ones out there. The only reason Primaris Marines look remotely pleasing to me is they somewhat resemble MKIV. I can definitely agree with that. I suppose that my reason is the increased bulk and more pleasing proportions, but the Mk4 style definitely plays a part as well. Filius
*snip* 6% of chapters could leave dozens of chapters opposing the Primaris. Notably the DA being suspicious of Cawl/Guilliman, the BA attempting to hide the Black Rage/Red Thirst, and SW and their unity and traditions. These three are also pseudo- or non-codex compliant and are not the biggest fans of Guilliman. As far as I know (haven't read the book) the Blood Angels are nearly wiped out and hardly have a choice when it comes to opposing the Primaris … and I'm pretty sure they even wouldn't if they were at full strength, because every hope for a cure for the Black Rage is … well, Hope for the Blood Angels and even more or Successor Chapters like the Flesh Tearers. If you are talking about "Devastation of Baal" book, that is unreleased and is 100% rumor at this time. We had "photos of the book Wrath of Magnus destroying Fenris" which turned out fake. At this time we must wait. I did refer to a leaked Passage of the new Core Book, and now that I have it here, I can say, that it's on Page 52, a Section titled "Devastation of Baal" stating, that in the Defence of Baal 5 Blood Angels Chapter Masters fell and that the final perimeter within the Blood Angels Fortress Monastery was broken. In my reasoning this leaves hardly any room for the Blood Angels or their Successor (except the Lamenters, which were the only ones that didn't defend Baal), to oppose the Primaris. TopToffee
Really like the new Primaris models to be honest (I know they're not everyone's taste, but I'm a big fan)... With that in mind, the Wolf Spear really tempts me. But with no current knowledge of how they'll look etc, I don't want to start painting and having my work completely invalidated when more information is available. But then when I consider moving away from the Wolves and painting some obscure chapter with a cool colour scheme, the thought of missing out on some of our awesome units makes me sad. So torn. Kelborn
Yesterday my copy of 8th edition rulebook arrived and let me tell you that the Wolves are facing off their old nemesis again in the Stygius Crusade. Tzeentch wants his own realm on the mortal plane. And he + Magnus, etc are successfull. Only with the help of the Ulthwé Eldar ate the imperial forces able to retreat. By far, the most interesting mentioned Warzone. Kelborn
It is in real space. Nevertheless does Tzeentch want his own realm, rivaling Nurgles pestworlds. CaptainStabby
re: the Gravis. As long as the multipart kit has separate shoulderpads the standard TDA ones should fit fine, they are almost exactly the same size. Im actually chopping up the Gravis guy to make a "regular" TDA Captain for my Mortifactors.
