Gemini
Bad guys by one point. Wulfen were AWESOME. Turns out, reanimation protocols don't matter when you GREASE THE ENTIRE UNIT! Wolf Guard Dan
Necrons 7-6. But I don't think they did the scoring correctly. I think it should have been a draw at 7-7. Close game and entertaining. The commentary may have been confused on the rules. Granted they are probably familiar with game-testing rules that didn't make the cut. The guy was saying how TWC can reroll their charge but was like "Nope I may be remembering that from game-testing." Filius
Is the SW list posted somewhere? TopToffee
I think they eventually said it was 1500 The list was something like: Harald 3x TWC Stormwolf Wulfen Blood Claws 2x5 Grey Hunters WGBL RUNE priest That's from memory tbf, and not entirely sure on numbers of Wulfen or BC's Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/334614-8th-ed-space-wolves-game-on-warhammer-tv-today-1206/#findComment-4780892 Share on other sites
Hellrender
i think it was: Harald deathwolf Wolf Guard battle leader Runepriest? (unsure on this one) 2x5 Grey hunters 1x5 Blood claws 2x5 Wulfen 1x3 Thunderwolves Stormwolf --------------------- His general tactic was the wulfen and bloodclaws in the stormwolf. i believe the WGBL was in there aswell. he flew over to one edge, very close to necron shooting, which meant the Stormwolf died as soon as it arrived there. Next turn his wulfen charged the main necron battle line, and just ate it. The turn after they got shot to pieces by the whole necron army. The blood claws whittled down an Transcendant C'tan. The grey hunters were used for objectives in the back zone. As 5 man squads without transports they just get eaten very fast by necron shooting. Altough they didn't really get targeted until later in the game, once the deathmarks and immortals went for them because of the objectives, they went down quite easily. I believe 1 squad survived, but wasnt in range of an objective, the other got wiped. The thunderwolves were shot at quite early on, and i didn't get the impression that they mattered that much other than soaking fire. They didn't do bad mind, but they just lost a bit of punch early on as they lost models. ----------------------- I wasn't paying much attention to the necron player but: Annhilation barge Necron lord 2x10 necron warriors?? 1x5 necron immortals 3 destroyers (1 heavy destroyer) some scarab swarms tomb spyder 5 deathmarks Transcendant C'tan There was talk about some Lychguard there, but can't remember what they did in the end. Wait, you can put multiple units in the same transport now? Yup. Transports are only limited by capacity, no longer stuck to just 1 unit. Wraithwing
Fairly certain the game was 1250, not 1500. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/334614-8th-ed-space-wolves-game-on-warhammer-tv-today-1206/#findComment-4781182 Share on other sites
Joasht
Yup, you can now fill that Stormlord with 3+ goodness! That completely changes my perspective on the LRC and Stormwolf :O The ability to shove more than one unit into a single box is very, very exciting.
