Leif Bearclaw
Quick random question. I know the now defunct Space Wolves Blog had a guide for converting 'pre-Heresy Space Wolves' from 40k SW and Fantasy Chaos Warrior kits. Sadly, the blog is now gone, and the guide with it. So I was wondering whether any enterprising frater has backed up a copy of the guide? Grotsmasha
Hmmmm, I only Doghouse was using this method for a while. Perhaps his guide is still around here somewhere.... Vykryl
I made a Rune Priest with that method. Model is rather static and I haven't decided how to deal with with his empty hand. Process is rather simple. You need a Chaos Warrior and Space Wolves legs. Carve the body from the inside of the Chaos Warrior's cape and make a recess for the marine legs butt. Trim away everything below the belt of the front torso bit. Once you have the SM legs matched to the CW body use pouches and/or a holsterd pistol to help hide the seem. If I have a second CW bit to play with I can try to show the steps. I think I only bought one to try it out. More than a few in an army starts looking very redundant as they're harder to individualize.
