The Mad Hermit
Beautifully done. Those colors (original legion) still work really well on seriously Nurgle-ized minis. Inspiring. Tzen 1 Back to top

abadizzle
Tzen, I think I speak for everyone when I say "we are all looking forward to YOU spending some quality time on the new Plague Marines. Lovely job on the streaking and corrosion. Good thinking on the scenic base, too! Heck yeah!

Tzen
Well, I may take some slightly better photos later on, but this guy is finished! http://www.golden-throne.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/dgfinished1.jpg http://www.golden-throne.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/dgfinished2.jpg http://www.golden-throne.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/dgfinished3.jpg http://www.golden-throne.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/dgfinished4.jpg http://www.golden-throne.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/dgfinished5.jpg Not sure what to do next. I have a few armies on the boil at the moment and it's really distracting! GrandMagnus, The Yak, dogfender and 10 others 13 Back to top
Walter Payton
I love the cloak on the plasma gunner, and your "drowned flesh" colour scheme is fab. Tzen 1 Back to top

GrandMagnus
Hey Tzen, how did you make the gold? What little time I've had with my own DG, I tried to get some brass done but I'm curious about your method, it looks really good. Tzen
Retributor armour > Riekland Flesh shade > Once it's dry nuln oil > Highlight with liberator gold. I added some nihilak oxide in small amount in the recesses to show it has aged a little in places. Hope it helps man. I will eventually do a video guide to my death guard scheme, I'll try and cover it in that too. Urauloth
Always been a fan of your chaos minis, and I reckon these Death Guard might be your coolest work yet. The old legion colours look fantastic on the new plaguemarine, and that freehand is a really nice touch. I like that you've gone for a brighter gold than we often see on Nurgle models - it's a good contrast to the dark green, and it still looks suitably corroded thanks to the black shading and the verdigris. Can't wait to see more of these guys. I should wait for the video which will answer my question, but is that armour rakarth flesh? The video is taking longer for me to make then I would like. Just busy as hell these days. The small amounts of spare time I have been getting I have been using to just chill and do hobby. Also just got an air brush... The paint job is spot on! Thanks Steamius! Really peeps like him! :D
