Converting characters into Primaris marines?

It won't really matter if I convert a character with fixed wargear into a primaris, or even a Librarian or Chaplain, since a character has multiple wounds and unique statlines? It would just be slight difference in model size, correct?

Unless you're playing against WAAC gamers, it shouldn't be an issue as long as your opponent knows what's up pre-game.
